About The Artist

Patrick Bly is a published and award-winning nature photographer based out of Jay, New York.

Part of a multi-generation family with deep roots in The Adirondacks, Patrick was quickly struck by the endless beauty to be found in his surroundings. The diversity and incredible landscapes there left him with a passion for understanding the natural world, which led him to study Ecology at SUNY Plattsburgh.

Patrick’s love for science can be found through his work, as he looks for connections between himself and the environment around him. Each image Patrick takes was captured through a feeling of intimacy, something about the scene that fascinated him with its surreal beauty. His hope is that you can feel something similar while browsing through his portfolio.

As a way to give back to the place he cares about most, each year Patrick donates 15% of proceeds to The Adirondack Council, which strives to preserve the water, air, and wild lands of the Adirondack Mountains.

Patrick has gone on to land covers and write articles for magazines like LocalADK and DoNorth Magazine. He also joined the marketing team at Whiteface Mountain, home of the Winter Olympics, where he learned the ins and outs of content creation and social media marketing. His freelance work includes product, portrait, elopement, and commercial film. Contact him today about creating content for your business or website.
